In July, 2003, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 was signed into law. It was born of the public's fury after watching leaders of corporations like Enron rape their workers and customers for private gain and benefit through a new kind of "domestic terrorism." Enron cooked their books and illegally pursued annual profits rather than maintaining sound business practices.

The law calls for companies to conform to new standards in governance, financial transactions and audit procedures.

It calls for the establishment of an independent audit committee, policies that address insider trading and conflicts of interest, spells out the responsibilities of auditors, requires certified financial statements, mandates the disclosure of tax returns in an "easily accessible way," provides whistle blower protection and addresses document destruction so as to prevent criminal obstruction.

There is talk that the Sarbanes-Oxley act will lead to a similar federal law that will be drawn up for non profits to abide by. For now, there are two provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act that apply to non-profit corporations; whistle blower protection and document destruction.

Whistle blowers are protected if they chose to act like Enron's s former Vice President Sherron Watkins did when she wrote to then-CEO Ken Lay in August 2001 about accounting irregularities, warning him that Enron "might implode in a wave of accounting scandals."

Today, it is illegal for a corporate entity, both for-profit and nonprofit alike, to punish, intimidate or retaliate against the whistle blower in any manner.

Secondly, the Sarbanes-Oxley act makes it a crime for non profit groups to alter, cover up, falsify, or destroy any document (or persuade someone else to do it) to prevent its use in an official proceeding (e.g., federal investigation or bankruptcy proceedings).

Medical incompetence hurts everyone,

"Well my name is Tim Moorley and I also live in Vancouver, well Surrey. Your group invitaition was sent to me by a member in a group that we have on here also. To try and make this message a little shorter I will get straight to the point. Surrey Memorial hospital has been outted for attempting to fake the results of my heart test. This is now a factual event! I have more than enough supporting document to show this is was happened. The reason they did this is the results that were found during the original test show that i have a defect in my heart that proves the medication Celebrex (Pfizer product) cause some injuries that I occurred. I am the lead plaintiff in the class action lawsuit filed in BC supreme court. I am also now the counsel for that lawsuit. (long explanation on how that happened) Over the last 28 days I have been a real pain in the NDP's ass trying to get them to attend to this in the way it should be. VERY PUBLICLY!!!!! The more people that now about this the better. I have a youtube video where the NDP sorta deal with it, but its obvious they are trying to protect any relationships that they have with the hospital, Health Auth. You can view them by searching my user name which is ( zodiac1369 ) If there is anything you can do to help this situation get to the end it will be remembered. Thanks"

Mason ties run deep,

"The City of Vancouver Engineering dept. controlled by free masons. I know this as I worked there and not only is it a common consensus among the regular laborers and union workers at the city; but I obtained an admission of masonic ties from the mouth of one of my supervisors there (Shortly before I was fired and I knew it was coming anyways so I grilled one of the supervisors who was rumored to be a mason).
Till about 15 years ago the city management were in the pocket of the hells angels and other crime groups (which is why city workers used to be able to do anything except work on the job and never get reprimanded). Scandal, media probes, and a new mayor 'cleaned' up the city works dept after that (mid nineties) and since then the Freemasons have been in charge.
Remember that many of the NWO's objectives need to be carried out at a local level and that our civic governments are just as corrupted as our provincial and federal systems."
